The Fisher®4200 Series Electronic Position Transmitter is a versatile, accurate instrument that combines field-proven electronic and mechanical technology to sense the position of the device and send a standard (4 to 20 mA) output signal to the indicating device. The 4200 is available in either a transmitter-only transmitter with integrated high-low stroke electronic limit alarms or a transmitter with a high-low position switch only.

Electronic Stroke Limit Alarm—To avoid the need for an external mechanical limit switch, the instrument with the stroke limit alarm incorporates a comparator circuit that monitors the voltage output of the inductive potentiometer.

Adjustable Dead Zones—Electronic Stroke Limit Alerts have adjustable dead zones that can be adjusted up to 10% of the maximum range.

Compact design—even though the instrument comes with a stroke limit alarm, it still requires little space to install, freeing up space for other equipment.

Durable construction—The rugged enclosure and corrosion-resistant coating on the printed circuit board help protect the instrument in harsh environments.

Circuit Simplicity—Simple hybrid electronics design combined with high-quality discrete components and integrated circuits significantly improves reliability and performance.

Ease of maintenance—The transmitter and alarm design is simple and easy to maintain. The high reliability of the instrument reduces the need for repair parts to the lowest level.

Moisture resistance—the field wiring chamber is isolated from the electronic circuit chamber. Protects electronic circuits from moisture that enters the enclosure through the field wiring ports.

Reversible field operation—Reverse output in the field can be easily achieved by switching the two potentiometer leads on the printed wiring board.

Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Filters—Filters between the electronic chamber and the field wiring chamber provide protection against electromagnetic interference.
