1. Please explain the maintenance function of the inverter?

2. What is regenerative braking?

If the motor decreases the command frequency during operation, the motor becomes an asynchronous generator and operates as a brake, which is called regenerative (electrical) braking.

3. Can regenerative braking get more braking force?

The regenerative energy from the motor is stored in the filter capacitors of the inverter. Due to the relationship between capacitor capacity and withstand voltage, the regenerative braking force of the general-purpose inverter is about 10%-20% of the rated torque. If the optional brake unit is selected, it can reach 50%-100%.

4. In the same factory, the large motor is moved together, and the inverter is stopped during work, why is this?

When the motor starts, it will flow through the starting current corresponding to the capacity, and the transformer on the stator side of the motor will experience a voltage drop. When the motor capacity is large, this voltage drop will also have a great effect, and the inverter connected to the same transformer will make an undervoltage or instantaneous stop judgment, so sometimes the maintenance function (IPE) will operate, resulting in aborted work.

5. What is variable frequency resolution? What's the point?

With regard to digitally operated frequency converters, the output frequency is given in stages, even if the frequency command is an analog signal. The smallest unit of this gradient is called the variable resolution. For example, if the resolution is 0.5Hz, then the top of 23Hz can be changed to 23.5 and 24.0 Hz, so the action of the motor is also followed by a step. This raises questions about the use of things like continuous coiling manipulation. In this case, if the resolution is about 0.015 Hz, and the difference between one step of the 4-stage motor is less than 1 r/min, it can be used to it.

6. Why does the maintenance function of the inverter work when the clutch is connected to the load?

When the clutch is connected to the load, at the moment of receiving the load, the motor changes sharply from the no-load condition to the area with a large slip rate, and the high current flow causes the inverter to overcurrent trip, and the inverter cannot operate.
