Excessive maintenance

Frequent power-on
In the process of commissioning or operation, the equipment often encounters the situation that the power is cut off and restarted, and the operator turns on the power after the power is off, and then immediately turns off the power and then turns it on again...... This kind of operation is an absolute life reduction behavior for the inverter. Because most of the inverter hardware is planned to have a starting resistor, it will be quickly heated within a few seconds of power-on, and then after the capacitor is charged, the starting resistor will cut out of the main circuit through the bypass contactor, and then slowly cool down.
If the inverter is frequently powered on and off, it is very likely that the starting resistance will overheat or even incinerate. Therefore, the inverter operation manual will explain the power-off interval of the inverter, which is generally not less than 60s, and the time will be different for different inverters. When using the inverter, please be careful not to power on and off frequently!
Current leakage
We have encountered several times that users have reported that the inverter trips as soon as it is powered on, resulting in no power supply. After the investigation, it was found that the user installed a leakage circuit breaker on the inlet side of the inverter, in this case, we would advocate that the user either install an isolation transformer on the inlet side of the power supply, remove the leakage circuit breaker, or disconnect/block the EMC ground terminal inside the inverter.
Because most drives have built-in EMC filters to prevent disturbances from entering, the filters must be grounded in order to function properly. The leakage current of the EMC grounding is bound to occur, and the leakage current of the general inverter will occur in the EMC filter end, and the threshold of the general leakage circuit breaker is set at a condition of several hundred milliamperes, which is easy to be broken down and lead to the occurrence of maintenance actions.
It must be energy-saving
In the past few years, when energy conservation and emission reduction were being promoted, the inverter was really popular for a while, no matter what type of use, it seems that only the inverter can be added to reduce energy consumption and reduce emissions. However, in fact, the use of inverters does not necessarily mean that they can save energy, and whether they can save energy depends entirely on their load type and operating conditions. Only in the right use and in the right occasion can the inverter have the effect of saving energy.
