The soft engine only changes the output voltage, not the frequency, that is, it does not change the n0 on the motor running curve, but increases the steepness of the curve to make the motor characteristics softer. When n0 is constant, each torque of the motor (rated torque, maximum torque, stalled torque) is proportional to the square of its terminal voltage, so the starting torque of the motor is greatly reduced by soft engine, so the soft engine is not suitable for heavy-duty motor.
The inverter can not be replaced by soft engine in terms of function, and the inverter can complete the constant rotation distance start, that is, it can have the same rotation distance as the high speed at low speed, and the soft start cannot be completed.
