SHANGHAI, China, Feb. 8, 2021 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (Shandong Yulong) will use Honeywell's advanced catalytic reforming and aromatics technologies at its integrated refining and chemical integration project in Longkou, Shandong Province, China.
UOP will provide a package of services for project start-up and subsequent operations, including technology licensing, engineering design, key equipment, advanced catalysts and adsorbents, production training, and technical services.
The Shandong Yulong RCI project will include UOP's naphtha pre-hydrogenation unit and CCR Platform™ unit, which will also use UOP's olefin removal process (ORP), Sulfolane™ aromatics extraction process, Isomar™ isomerization process and Tatoray™ toluene disproportionation process to convert naphtha into high-octane gasoline and aromatic feedstock. Aromatic feedstocks can be used to further produce a variety of synthetic substances.
After the completion of the project, Shandong Yulong is expected to produce 3 million tons of mixed aromatics per year. Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. was jointly funded by Nanshan Group and several other enterprises.
