Tianjin, China, June 25, 2021 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) is unveiling its new Smart Energy Management Solution (HiEMS) at the inaugural China Building Science Conference & Smart Building Expo at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Tianjin, China. In this exhibition, with the theme of "Building the Present, Building the Future", Honeywell showcased innovative technologies and solutions in the fields of green and energy-saving buildings and healthy buildings around six major scenarios: commercial buildings, data centers, smart hospitals, rail transit, smart airports and smart lives.

The new smart energy management solution released this time is another new breakthrough in building energy conservation and consumption reduction. The system can collect and monitor all kinds of energy consumption data in the building, including electricity, water, gas, cooling and heat, etc., and at the same time combine the equipment status and environmental variable data to gain insight into the energy consumption trend and cost proportion of the enterprise, and further analyze and evaluate the big data through artificial intelligence technology, decompose the energy budget and energy-saving goals of the enterprise into various departments, and clarify the responsibility for energy-saving work, so as to reduce the energy consumption of the enterprise more accurately and effectively, and achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase. The system can be deployed locally or on a cloud platform, and is suitable for energy-intensive industrial, commercial, and public infrastructure such as factories, data centers, office buildings, hotels, hospitals, schools, airports, and commercial complexes.

The key goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" in the 14th Five-Year Plan puts forward new requirements for low-carbon and energy-saving development. According to the "China Building Energy Consumption Research Report (2020)" released by the China Association of Building Energy Efficiency, the total carbon emissions of the whole process of buildings in China in 2018 were 4.93 billion tons, accounting for 51.3% of the national carbon emissions, and the emission reduction potential is huge.
