The gyroscope sensor detects the pose of the lens module and adjusts for it
According to statistics, 1.4 billion smartphones are shipped worldwide every year. Nowadays, almost every smartphone in the market has its own camera function, and taking pictures with mobile phones has become one of the indispensable interests in the lives of men, women and children. In the past, even when taking photos with professional photography equipment, photographers would pay careful attention to prevent flutter from affecting the effect of the photo. Now, a small smartphone has a built-in powerful stabilization function, so even with one hand, you can take stable, clear photos and images at will.
Japan Den's Sankyo's "TiltAC", a product that uses a gyroscope sensor and flutter compensation function to link technology, has attracted the attention of major smartphone manufacturers because it can support the lens and picture sensor for optimal imaging.
So far, various anti-shake skills have been widely used in digital cameras, camcorders and other products. In products such as single-lens reflex cameras, the OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) technique, which corrects optical axis shifts, has long been dominant in compensating for the direction and displacement of the lens or picture sensor, which corrects the optical axis shift. In smartphones, the Electronic Image Stabilizer (EIS) skill, which digitally includes a specific part of an image, is rapidly spreading. Even so, the above skills are not able to deal with the problem of blurred drawings caused by fluttering at the root. Due to its image stabilization compensation function, the OIS skill may increase the position deviation between the lens and the picture sensor, causing the bezel part of the photo or image to appear skewed. However, the EIS skill affects the imaging effect because the picture sensor itself cannot support the maximum useful pixels.
TiltAC packages all the components, including the lens and picture sensor, into a movable imaging assembly, which is precisely manipulated to keep the gyroscope sensor level and keep the imaging unit facing the subject at all times. This skill enables the image sensor to maximize its performance and improve the imaging function of the bezel part, bringing simple operation and optimal photo action to all users.
Compared to other stabilization skills, TiltAC can effectively manipulate the tilt of the imaging component, which consists of the lens and image sensor, to achieve the best photographic effect.
Even in large viewpoints, high-frequency skew, and flutter conditions, cameras equipped with TiltAC can capture the best results.
In addition to improving the effectiveness of photography, TiltAC is also in a significant lead when it comes to large-viewpoint stabilization and compensation skills. In practice, the stabilization compensation range of OIS skills is around ±1 degree, while TiltAC can compensate for the offset of the imaging component caused by large viewpoint flutter within ±6 degrees. Even in the condition of Mercedes-Benz, stable and clear pictures and images can be taken, which greatly frees itself from the constraints of the environmental conditions for taking pictures.
Japan Den's Sankyo has made innovations and breakthroughs in anti-shake compensation skills inseparable from its own accumulation of VCM (voice coil motor) skills in fine servo motors. Voice coil motor is a single-phase motor that puts the energized coil into the magnetic field, and the energized coil moves in a straight line. As early as the era when flip phones were popular all over the world, Japan Denso Sankyo began to produce active focusing components equipped with voice coil motors for major mobile phone manufacturers. The company has made full use of its small and fine processing skills in voice coil motor products, and has officially entered the new product market of anti-shake compensation since 2011.
Compared to other stabilization skills, TiltAC does have its own head start, but there are many other skill challenges to be tackled in order to remain invincible in the extremely competitive smartphone industry. For example, in order to meet the requirements of smaller and thinner smartphones, we need to reduce the size of the image stabilization compensation components as much as possible, including the imaging components. However, the problem is that once a smaller solenoid coil is selected, the power consumption will be too high on the premise of ensuring the normal operation of the anti-shake compensation components. We must come up with a set of solutions that kill two birds with one stone in order to continue to survive in the field of anti-shake compensation products. In addition, in order to ensure that the anti-shake compensation components can operate normally under strict conditions such as high-altitude drops and rough use, we have also carried out strict deletion and skill verification of the shell and solder materials of the product to ensure that each set of products can smoothly pass the drop test of 30 times at a height of 150cm and tens of thousands of times at a height of 10cm, so as to meet the customer's requirements for the product to be shockproof, fall-resistant and durable.
The structure of TiltAC. Springs and bearings are used to make the imaging assembly composed of the lens and the picture sensor detached from the fixed bracket and levitate independently. When the fixed bracket flutters or skews, the coil on the fixed bracket can be passed through to keep the imaging component of the moving part stationary.
In addition to the TiltAC that was launched at the time, which can compensate for vertical and horizontal rotation, Japan Denso Sankyo is also developing a new three-axis anti-shake compensation product that can also compensate for the rotation of incoming rays. In addition, as for the function of image stabilization compensation in telephoto lenses, the most common method at that time was to use a prism to refract the incident light at 90 degrees and then enter the picture sensor, so as to achieve a larger zoom in a small space of the lens. In order to provide clear and stable image quality with telephoto lenses, Japan Densho Sankyo is also developing a TiltAC that can be equipped with a built-in prism imaging unit. Compared with ordinary lenses, telephoto lenses have higher requirements for image stabilization and compensation functions. Let us look forward to the early launch of the new product facelift.
In the future, in the field of robot industry, in order to make robots make various more flexible and accurate actions, the demand for "precise vision" will continue to expand. In addition, in addition to providing anti-shake compensation products for camera lenses, Japan Denso Sankyo plans to develop anti-shake compensation products equipped with laser components. The product can be used in the distance sensor of the car, and the laser component inside can more accurately detect the distance between the vehicle in front and the vehicle, and may become an indispensable core component to support the development of active driving skills in the future.
