Introduction: An ultrasonic through-beam sensor consists of a transmitter and a receiver mounted facing each other. Ultrasonic through-beam sensors work by emitting sound waves from the transmitter to the receiver to detect objects through the sound beam being interrupted by the target object. The transmitter generates an ultrasonic signal that is received and evaluated by the receiver. When the ultrasonic beam is attenuated or interrupted by an object, the output of the receiver switches on and off.
