Introduction: The transmitter and receiver on a thru-beam photoelectric sensor are aligned in opposite directions. The advantage of this is that the beam reaches the receiver directly, so a long detection distance and high excess gain can be achieved. These sensors are capable of reliably detecting almost any object. The angle of incidence, surface characteristics, object color, etc., do not affect the reliability of the sensor.
