Mitsubishi PLC Selection - Element 3: Scanning Speed

This performance parameter is for beginners, and not knowing this performance parameter does not affect learning PLC programming. However, when doing some projects, the accuracy requirements are relatively high or the number of program steps is relatively large, and the processing speed of scanning operations is higher. This performance parameter must be taken into account. Ability to check the scanning speed of the PLC via the hardware manual. This is the performance parameter checked in the FX3U's hardware manual. The root instruction is 0.065us/instruction, and in the case of a large number of program instructions, many fundamental instruction moments will be accumulated. And in the case of high accuracy requirements, the scanning cycle is required to scan faster, and this performance parameter is particularly important.

The output types of Mitsubishi FX series PLCs are relay output type MR, transistor output type MT, and thyristor output type MS.

Transistor-type MT performance parameters are divided into leak type and source type.

MR and MT types are commonly used. For beginners, it is recommended to choose the transistor output type. The transistor output type supports the sending of high-speed pulses to drive steppers and servo drives. In the case of project control, the output belt load is relatively large or the number of on/off times per minute is less than 6 times, it is recommended to use the relay output type. Its output ZUI has a large load of 2A/1 points and strong anti-interference ability.

The more and more complete instructions supported by a PLC, the more convenient it is for the programmer in the programming process. For example FX2NPLC some positioning commands DRVI and DRVA are not supported. Another example is FX3UPLC support CRC check, but FX2NPLC does not. The commands supported by each PLC can be checked at a glance in the programming manual of the corresponding model.
