Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (MHIEC, President: Takayuki Hishinuma, Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama), a subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group, has supplied two advanced Mitsubishi grate furnaces to a large-scale waste-fired power plant in Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, China. As the first urban waste-burning power plant in Xiaogan City, China, the first urban waste-burning power plant has started commercial operation in January 2021 and has become one of the important environmental foundation equipment in the city.
