Fault 1, the indication is abnormal

The float level gauge is not indicated properly and is a very common fault of the float level gauge. Usually there are the following manifestations:

Phenomenon 1: The float level gauge in the atmospheric pressure workshop has the largest indication.

Troubleshooting: Through inspection, it is found that the counterweight of the float is at the lowest point, indicating that the liquid level of the instrument is the highest. The on-site glass plate and the instrument indication do not match, and it is usually the false liquid level phenomenon of the highest liquid level caused by the instrument float falling off. At this time, it can be dealt with by stopping the maintenance and replacing the float.

Phenomenon 2: The float level gauge in the aromatic hydrocarbon tank area does not change with the liquid level in the container, and has always indicated the maximum.

Troubleshooting: At this time, you should check whether the float falls off, and if it falls off, it can be reinstalled.

Phenomenon 3: The indication of the float level gauge is low.

Troubleshooting: The above fault phenomenon may be caused by the float falling off, the float connecting rod being broken, the float conversion mechanism being damaged, and the float pointer or meter head being damaged. If the pressure instrument conversion mechanism, float connecting rod rotates flexibly, and the pointer and meter head are unobstructed, then the float connecting rod should be replaced, and if the fault still cannot be eliminated, it should be eliminated one by one in combination with the above reasons.

Phenomenon 4: The float level transmitter suddenly has no indication.

Troubleshooting: If the voltage of the measurement loop, there is no signal, the polarity of the primary component power supply is not reversed, and there is no current output in the current conversion part, it means that the meter head of the instrument is damaged, and the meter head of the float level gauge instrument should be replaced.

Fault 2: Interference by magnetic field

If the float level gauge malfunctions, according to the working principle of the float level gauge, it is mostly due to magnetic field interference. Because the float and guide rod of the float level gauge contain magnetic objects, if it is interfered by other magnetic fields in the application environment, it will affect the normal operation of the instrument, and even lead to the demagnetization of the instrument components.

Troubleshooting: Please check whether there is a strong magnetic field around the instrument and container in time, and confirm that there are no magnetic impurities in the measured liquid, if there is a magnetic field, please remove it in time to avoid the float level gauge from being disturbed by the magnetic field and abnormal.

Fault 3: The float is stuck

The float gets stuck, usually because the liquid being tested contains impurities and dirt, and over time, the guide rod will gradually scale. If the float is stuck and the owner does not move, it will cause no signal output of the instrument.

Fault handling: If there is a fault that the float is stuck, the instrument personnel should check the status of the float in time, check whether there is scale condensation on the surface of the guide rod, and clean it up as soon as possible. Especially for the liquid to be measured containing impurities, the instrument personnel should regularly clean the instrument guide rod.

In practice, due to the complex on-site working conditions and improper operation, some other failures may occur in the float level gauge, which will affect the normal progress of production. At this time, please check whether the voltage, current, and load are abnormal in time, and carefully read the product instruction manual, and operate in accordance with the above requirements. If the fault still cannot be eliminated, you can consult the manufacturer's technical personnel, if it still cannot be solved, it should be sent back to the manufacturer for maintenance in time.
