The contract for the baggage handling system includes the delivery of ICS pallet technology, a rack-mounted early-arrival baggage storage system, and a high-end intelligent baggage control software system, which will help Hefei Xinqiao International Airport achieve its annual throughput target of 30 million passengers. In 2021, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport handled more than 8.79 million passengers. According to the characteristics and processing needs of the T2 terminal of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport, the efficient baggage handling system provided by Siemens Logistics, based on the ICS pallet VarioTray technology, adopts the "main line conveying and branch line sorting" mode, with high throughput, redundancy, stability and reliable baggage sorting function, which will ensure that Hefei Airport can cope with the challenges of increasing passenger numbers in the future.
