1. Different definitions:
A light sensor is a device that can sensitively sense the light energy from ultraviolet light to infrared light and convert the light energy into an electrical signal.
A photoelectric sensor is a sensor that uses a photoelectric element as the detection element. It first converts the measured change into a change in the optical signal, and then further converts the optical signal into an electrical signal with the help of optoelectronic components.
2. The working principle is different:
Light sensor: It is composed of a light projector and a light receiver, the light is concentrated through the lens, and then further switched and controlled. The light source of the projector varies according to various needs, including general bulbs, red light, green LEDs, etc. The photoreceptor is to accept the light signal sent by the projector and convert it into an electrical signal, its main component is a silicon crystal component, its properties can be divided into phototransistors, photodiodes and photoresistors, and now photoelectric products have generally selected phototransistors, which have the advantage of high-speed switching function and good sensitivity.
Photosensor: The transmitter is aimed at the target to emit a beam, which generally comes from semiconductor light sources, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), laser diodes and infrared emitting diodes. The beam is emitted uninterruptedly, or the pulse width is changed.
