In the course of inverter repairs, if there is no significant damage to the hardware and the maximum torque of the VFD is usually less than the torque of the load increase. It means that the load capacity of the frequency conversion speed control equipment has decreased significantly. So how do you deal with this?

1. The acceleration moment is too short.

Theoretically, the longer the acceleration time, the stronger the ability to carry the load. If the acceleration time is set too short, some VFDs will display an overcurrent or overload or overtemperature alarm, while others will not, but will just be stuck in a certain frequency band.

2.The V/F ratio is too large

Some of these VFDs are also called torque increases. If this parameter is set too large, it may not be able to start properly. If it is appropriately reduced, the problem will be dealt with.

3. Vector manipulation parameters do not match.

In the form of vector control, it is necessary to accurately measure the internal resistance, inductance and other parameters of the motor, and to match the vector parameters of the VFD. After a period of operation, the motor parameters will overheat, resulting in errors. At this time, the current will be too large to start the motor normally, and the frequency may be stuck at a certain point. Optimizing parameters de novo can handle the problem.

4. The maximum frequency and maximum frequency are set too low.

Generally, these two parameters are set to the maximum value, but there are some careless electricians who change these two parameters, so it will also lead to the inability to upcycle.

5. Some special occasions require parameter pairing.

In some cases, the minimum frequency should not be set too low. For example, in a constant pressure water supply system, when the minimum frequency is set to 0 Hz, when the pump pressure is low, when the starting frequency exceeds that of VFD and VFD, the start is accelerated, and the pressure cannot be increased. The frequency of the VFD cannot be increased to 50Hz, which is about 38Hz. If the PID is adjusted repeatedly, the frequency cannot be increased. Only by setting the minimum frequency of VFD at about 15-20HZ can we be satisfied with the acceleration of VFD and keep the pump at a certain pressure. Although the pressure satisfies the constant pressure requirements, the VFD cannot be completely stopped without water and always maintains the lowest frequency speed.

This is due to: in the constant pressure water supply system, the minimum frequency of VFD cannot be set to 0HZ, generally at least around 20HZ, which is determined by the flow rate and head of the pump.

The way to do this is to set the sleep frequency. When the frequency of the pump (e.g. 28HZ) runs for a few minutes, the pump will go to sleep. When the pressure drops to 0.2-0.4MP lower than the set pressure, the pump will start. Another way is to set up a timed water supply and supply it at several times. In general, the constant pressure water supply manipulator has the above functions.

6. Hardware issues

A similar situation may occur if there is a problem with the VFD's transformer (Hall) and the correct current cannot be measured properly. In addition, this can also occur when one of the measuring components on the motherboard is aged. These are all things that are often encountered when correcting VFDs.
