Visible red LED light source

The sensor application of this light source is very common, the light spot is visible, the light spot is large, easy to align, easy to install and adjust, and the price is close to the people, which can meet most applications. The disadvantage is that the detection accuracy is not high.

  Red laser light source

The laser has a small spot, bright and concentrated, strong energy, good anti-interference, and high detection accuracy, which is suitable for detecting objects with small size and occasions with high detection accuracy requirements. The downside is that the price is higher. The sensor of the laser light source is divided into primary laser class I and secondary laser class II. The first type of laser is safe for people, and the second type of laser has less damage to people, that is to say, the energy of the secondary laser is stronger than the primary laser, so we should not stare at its lens for a long time using the photoelectric sensor of the secondary laser.

  Infrared LED light source

Infrared LEDs and receiving elements have a strong response to infrared light and high efficiency. Therefore, most of the long-range photoelectric sensors use infrared light sources. Within the same product family, infrared light tends to have a longer detection distance than red light. Infrared light has strong energy and good anti-interference, but the light spot is not visible, and it will feel more troublesome to install and adjust. "Invisible" is not the only disadvantage, some applications require invisible spots, such as when a worker is always working nearby, visible spots can make people feel uncomfortable. In addition, when the reflectivity of the object under test is poor, or when the external ambient light interference line is large, the sensor with infrared light source is more suitable.

The longer the wavelength of light, the greater the attenuation in water. Taking advantage of this feature, United States Banner has developed a QS30H2O sensor that uses 1450nm infrared light to detect the presence or absence of liquid in water.

In view of the limited installation space in some applications, Bonner of United States has also developed a fiber detection solution, and the DF-G3LIR fiber amplifier also uses 1450nm infrared light.

  Blue LED light source

The applicability of blue light sources is not as wide as that of red and infrared light. For DUTs with strong light absorption, such as solar crystalline silicon wafers, sensors with blue light sources are more suitable.

United States Bonner's VS8 sensor series has a professional blue light source sensor, and the size is small, compact structure, fully suitable for the needs of solar energy, electronics and other industries.

  White LED, green LED, blue LED light source

The above light sources are generally used for color mark sensors.

  RGB LED light source

Generally used in color sensors, the light source of the three primary colors will reflect different proportions of the three primary colors when hitting the measured object, so that subtle color differences can be recognized.
