1. Contactor refers to an electrical appliance that uses a coil to flow through the current to generate a magnetic field, so that the contact is closed, and then the load can be manipulated. Because it can quickly block the main circuit and can frequently connect devices with high-current control circuits, it has been widely used in electrical engineering.

2. Contactor classification

Contactors can be divided into DC contactors and communication contactors according to the way the main contact connection loop. During this period, the DC contactor adopts modular planning, and strives to complete customer requirements with *fewer parts, such as the number of contacts required, contact methods, etc. The DC contactor contact has a high breaking voltage, and the horizontal blowing magnetic field is selected to extinguish the arc, which is suitable for program-controlled power supply, uninterruptible power supply system, construction machinery system, etc.

Contactors can be divided into electromagnetic contactors and permanent magnet contactors according to the operation organization. In the meantime, the permanent magnet contactor uses the same sex repulsion of the magnetic pole, which is a kind of micro-power contactor formed by using the permanent magnet drive organization instead of the traditional electromagnet drive organization, and there are many such mature products in China

3. Contactor structure

The communication contactor mainly consists of four parts: electromagnetic system, contact system, arc extinguishing equipment and other accessories. Among them, the electromagnetic system includes attraction coils, static iron cores and dynamic iron cores; The contact system and the moving iron core are connected together and linked with each other, mainly including three sets of main contacts and one or two sets of normally open and normally closed auxiliary contacts; Arc extinguishing equipment is used to quickly intercept the power supply to prevent burning out of the main contact, and is often installed in a communication contactor with a large capacity. In addition to the above three parts, the communication contactor also includes insulated shells, various springs, transmission machines, terminal posts and other accessories.

4. When the coil is energized, the static iron core produces electromagnetic attraction, so that the moving iron core is sucked, so as to drive the three moving contacts of the contact system to produce action, the main contact is closed, the auxiliary normally closed contact is disconnected, and the auxiliary normally open contact is closed and the power supply is connected.

When the coil is powered off, the electromagnetic suction of the static iron core disappears, and the reaction force of the spring makes the moving iron core and the static iron core separate, and the three moving contacts of the contact system make the main contact disconnected, the auxiliary normally closed contact is closed, and the auxiliary normally open contact is disconnected to block the power supply.
