1. Physical environment

(1) Temperature factor

Temperature has a huge impact on the lifetime and reliability of the electronic components inside the inverter. When using the inverter in an environment with high operating temperatures, it is necessary to take additional cooling measures to ensure that the ambient temperature is stable within the scale required by the inverter operation manual (——10-+40/45°C). In the electric control box, the inverter should generally be installed in the upper part of the box, and it is forbidden to install the heating element close to the bottom of the inverter! In addition, the cooling fan of the inverter should be regularly inspected and cleaned during the operation process.

(2) Humidity factor

For the hazards of this element, I believe that the majority of peers can understand - when the ambient humidity is greater than 90%, the insulation of the devices inside the inverter will become poor, and then lead to the failure of the inverter. Therefore, if necessary, putting desiccant in the inverter becomes a necessary method to remove moisture.

(3) Corrosive gases

Because the corrosive gas has a great damage effect on the electrical insulation performance of the PCB board and plastic shell inside the inverter, the inverter should be used in this environment to adopt a sealed shell that meets the requirements of safety regulations.

(4) Vibration and shock

These two physical phenomena that will cause poor electrical contact and open welding of components in the inverter will also have a great impact on the normal use of the inverter, so it is not necessary to strengthen the daily maintenance and overhaul operations.

Second, the electrical environment

(1) Avoid electromagnetic disturbance

Because of the rectification and inverter links in the operation of the inverter, there must be a lot of electromagnetic wave disturbance in this operation process, and these high-frequency electromagnetic waves must have a certain disturbance to the adjacent instrumentation. For this reason, the instruments and meters of the same network as the inverter should be grounded first, and the cables with shielding should be selected for the connection between various electrical components and instruments, and it is necessary to grounding the shielding layer.

(2) Avoid overvoltage at the input terminal

Although most of the power input of the inverter has the function of overvoltage maintenance, if the high voltage effect of the inverter input is long, it will often cause damage to the internal components of the inverter (such as varistors, rectifier devices, etc.). For power supplies with frequent fluctuations and large fluctuations in power supply voltage, it is necessary to consider the use of voltage stabilizing equipment.

3. Grounding

The correct grounding of the inverter is an important way to improve the sensitivity of the system and press the noise disturbance. The smaller the grounding resistance of the inverter grounding terminal G (also marked as E), the better, the cross-sectional area of the grounding wire should not be less than 2mm², and the length should be controlled within 20m. In addition, the requirement points out that the shielding layer of the inverter signal input line should be connected to the G (or E) terminal, and the other end must not be connected to the ground terminal, otherwise it will cause the signal to change and shake, causing the system to vibrate.

Fourth, lightning protection

In the inverter, there is generally a lightning absorption and discharge circuit to avoid the damage of the inverter caused by instantaneous lightning intrusion. However, in the process of practical operation, especially when the power cord of the inverter is introduced overhead, it is far from enough to rely solely on the internal lightning protection circuit of the inverter. For this reason, in the lightning active area, and the inverter power supply is the introduction of overhead lines, the incoming line should be installed at the inverter special lightning arrester (factory option), or according to the requirements of the specification in the inverter 20m away embedded galvanized steel pipe seat special grounding lightning protection maintenance.
