Epson Robots, the manufacturer of Epson SCARA robots, has announced a new high-performance Force Guide integrated force guidance solution that takes robotic automation to the next level with amazing precision and exceptional rigidity. Epson®Force Guide is a tightly integrated force control system that allows Epson Robots to sense and move using force response data. Powered by proprietary Epson Quartz technology, it enables the Epson robot to inspect six axes of force with an accuracy as low as 0.1 N. Driven by real-time servo system integration, Force Guide provides a fast haptic response to guide the robot through high-precision part placement.

                               Epson Robotics High Performance Guide

Designed to simplify rigging and setup, the Epson Force Guide integrated solution features a point-and-click interface with pre-configured solutions and built-in targets, then reducing the development time for applications that require high precision. It is ideal for tasks such as part piercing, screw drive, grinding/polishing, etc.

Gregg Brunnick, Director of Product Management for Epson Robotics, said: "Force Guide is a revolutionary force manipulation system that opens up possibilities for robotic automation in previously impossible areas. "It allows the robot to handle applications that require high-precision or high-performance motion guidance, making it ideal for a wide range of high-precision applications."

Key features:

Robust performance: Epson's proprietary quartz technology drives an integrated force control system
