1. Configuration of the control loop
The configuration of the control loop is essentially to use the various basic functional modules provided by the system to form a variety of actual control systems. At present, the configuration methods provided by different DCSs are different, which can be summarized as specifying the connection mode of the operation module, the method of decision table, the method of recording steps, and so on.
The specified operation module connection mode is to call a variety of independent standard operation modules, connect into a variety of control loops with lines, and finally automatically generate control software, which is a configuration method with intuitive information flow and control functions. The decision form is a pure form of filling in the form, as long as you fill in the content or answer the questions one by one according to the requirements of the configuration form, which is very conducive to the user's configuration operation. The step entry method is a kind of writing method based on language instructions, with a large degree of programming freedom, and various complex functions can be realized through some skills, but the configuration efficiency is low. In addition, because this configuration method is not intuitive enough, it often has high requirements for the technical level and configuration experience of the configuration engineer.
2. Real-time database generation
The real-time database is the most basic information resource of DCS, and these real-time data are stored and managed by the real-time database. In DCS, there are many ways to establish and modify real-time database records, and the common method is to use the general database tool software to generate database files, and the system directly uses this data format for management or adopts a certain method to convert the generated data files into the format required by DCS.
3. Generation of industrial process screens
DCS is an integrated control system, which must have a rich control system and detection system screen display functions. Obviously, different control systems need to display different screens. In general, it is a basic requirement of DCS configuration to represent various measurement and control parameters and system status in appropriate forms such as characters, bar diagrams, curves, etc., combined with the overall picture, grouping, control loop, flow chart, alarm and other screens. In addition, various variable catalog screens, operation guidance screens, fault diagnosis screens, engineer maintenance screens, and system configuration screens can be displayed as required.
4. Generation of historical database
All DCSs support historical data storage and trend display functions, and the historical database is usually generated by the user without programming, through the screen editing compilation technology, a data file that defines the structure and scope of each historical data record. The data in the historical database is generally divided into groups, and the data type and sampling time within each group are the same. Information about each data point is defined at the time of generation.
5. Report generation
The report printing function of the operator station of the DCS is also configured through the report generation part in the configuration software, and there are great differences in the report printing function of different DCS. Generally speaking, DCS supports the following two types of report printing functions: one is periodic report printing, and the other is triggered report printing, and users can generate different report formats according to their needs and preferences.
