On August 16, 2021, the Tarim Oilfield Natural Gas Ethane Recovery Project, the largest natural gas deep processing base in Xinjiang (1), a key project of PetroChina, was successfully completed and put into operation, with stable operation and the production of qualified ethane products.
The Tarim Oilfield Natural Gas Ethane Recovery Project is located in Lunnan Industrial Park, Luntai County, Bazhou, Xinjiang, covering an area of 320 acres with a total investment of 1.62 billion yuan. Relying on the abundant natural gas resources in Tarim, the project adopts the internationally advanced and domestic leading process technology of "propane pre-cooling + expansion refrigeration + double reflux", with a designed treatment scale of 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year and a single-row device scale of 5 billion cubic meters per year, making it one of the largest single-row ethane recovery units in China.
Localization transformation and promotion, Hollysys stationed in Tarim Oilfield
After several years of operation of the first phase of the project, the user deeply felt that although the foreign control system can ensure normal operation, there are hidden dangers in information security, strong geographical limitations of product and technical services, and long spare parts procurement cycle. In recent years, the state has paid attention to industrial safety, emphasizing the safety and controllability of core industrial control systems. Hollysys seized the opportunity to mobilize the elite soldiers of various business departments to form a project team. In October 2020, through many in-depth on-site investigations in the early stage of the Hollysys project team, and all-round and multi-level communication with users, the plan was continuously optimized, and finally stood out in the fierce competition and successfully entered the Tarim Oilfield. This is also the first project contract signed with Hollysys in Tarim, laying a solid foundation for Hollysys to develop the Tarim oilfield project in the future.
In the implementation of this project, Hangzhou Hollysys Automation Co., Ltd. undertook the renovation project of DCS system and SIS system in the light hydrocarbon recovery section, as well as the design, construction, installation and commissioning of the new phase II ethane recovery DCS and SIS control system, which is also a large-scale project covering DCS+SIS+AMS+IADS multi-type and multi-product lines.
The project adopts Hollysys' latest K-CU03 high-performance main controller module, K series high-density card, MACSV6.5.4 general version software, about 3,000 system physical points, more than 10,000 communication points, and more than 26,000 total compilation points. The total number of compilation points of SIS system is more than 8500 points.
Optimize the program and rationalize the communication
In order to ensure the smooth replacement of the cabinet and minimize the workload, Hollysys adopts high-density cards to basically achieve 1:1 restoration. The 126 sets of communication of various protocols are reasonably planned, and the combination of MODBUS RTU communication and OPC communication is used to control, display and upload. At the same time, in order to take care of the user's long-term operation habits and distinguish the difference between light hydrocarbon and ethane, the transformation part is divided by the color of the base map and the buttons according to the style of the original operation interface as much as possible.
Sincere and efficient service, recognized by users
Due to the short time period of the transformation system, the many operation screens, the complex logic of the original program and the current situation that there is no original plan, the project team of Hollysys and the user combined with the production process requirements for many years to reorganize the entire plan. After repeated on-site testing, verification, optimization and multiple trial operations by the Hollysys project team, the transformation of the light hydrocarbon recovery DCS and SIS systems was put into operation on schedule, and the new ethane recovery DCS and SIS control systems were successfully put into operation at one time. The project was issued on November 30, 2020, and the light hydrocarbon section was shipped in Hangzhou on December 28, 2020, on January 4, FAT2021, and on March 23, 2021 On the site of the ethane section, on April 10, SAT2021 2021, light hydrocarbons began to stop, on May 15, 2021, the air intake of the light hydrocarbon section was successful, on May 17, 2021, the one-time start-up was successful, on May 20, 2021, the cabinet of the ethane section was powered on, on June 23, 2021, the ethane joint commissioning ended, on July 16, 2021, the ethane inlet was put into trial operation, on August 16, 2021, ethane was officially put into production, the product is qualified, the project has been successfully put into operation, and the DCS and SIS systems are stable, safe and reliable. It has been highly recognized by users.
