Method 1: Reconfigure capacitive screen parameters through the configuration file
The configuration parameters of the capacitive touch screen are saved in the serial port screen, and the sensitivity of the capacitive touch screen can be configured by writing new parameters. For customers who need to install panels on capacitive touch screens, panel samples and structural parts can be mailed to our company. We will adjust the capacitive touch screen parameters based on the customer's sample test to generate a configuration file named "TP_HDxxx". In the actual production process, the user puts the file in the root directory of the U disk or TF card, and can be updated to the serial port screen together with the project file without additional operation.
The SDWb, SDWa, and SDWe series all support this method to adjust the sensitivity of the capacitive screen.
Method 2: Use the screen parameter configuration to configure the user's own settings
SDWb and SDWa series serial port screens support users to set the capacitive touch screen sensitivity function by themselves.
As shown in Figure 1, in the Screen Parameter Configuration of the VGUS Development Tool, select Enable Capacitive Screen Sensitivity and set the sensitivity value. The sensitivity value is set in the range 0x00-0x1F, and the higher the value, the higher the sensitivity. The corresponding user can increase the acrylic or tempered glass panel thicker. Users can flexibly adjust according to the actual situation.

Compile the corresponding project, and the capacitive touch screen sensitivity value will be saved in the project file. When the user downloads the project file to the serial port screen, the sensitivity parameters of the capacitive touch screen will also be updated to the serial port screen.
Although the sensitivity of the capacitive touch screen can be adjusted by the above methods to solve the problem of installing a cover plate on the surface. However, for users who have the conditions for mass production, it is not recommended to install a cover plate on the surface of the capacitive touch screen. The outer material of the capacitive touch screen is tempered glass, which itself has the characteristics of high hardness, scratch resistance and good light transmittance. If the cover plate is installed for the needs of structural appearance design, or structural waterproofing, etc., and it has mass production conditions, it is recommended to use the outer layer of tempered glass of the customized capacitive touch screen, which is simple, reliable and cost-effective. The shape, size, thickness, color, logo, etc. of the capacitive touch screen can be designed and produced according to the requirements, and the detailed information refers to the document "Instructions on the Customized Cover of the Capacitive Touch Screen".
