The unreliable contact touch will increase the touch resistance between the dynamic and static contacts, resulting in the high temperature of the touch surface, making the surface touch become a point touch, and even showing a non-conduction phenomenon. The reasons for this failure are:

                                     Analysis of the reasons why the contact of Schneider contactor is not reliable

(1) There are oil, hair, and foreign objects on the contacts.

(2) Long-term use, oxidation of the appearance of the contact.

(3) Arc ablation constitutes defects, burrs or metal chips.

(4) There is a jamming phenomenon in the moving part.

The treatment methods are:

(1) For the oil, hair or foreign matter on the contact, you can wipe it with a cotton cloth dipped in alcohol or gasoline.

(2) If it is a silver or silver-based alloy contact, when the oxide layer is generated on the surface of the touch or the micro-burn and blackening are caused by the arc effect, it generally does not affect the work, and can be wiped with alcohol and gasoline or carbon tetrachloride solution. Even if the appearance of the contact is burned uneven, you can only use a fine file to remove the surrounding splash beads or burrs, and do not file too much to avoid affecting the life of the contact.

For copper contacts, if the degree of burn is mild, only need to use a fine file to repair the uneven places, but do not apply fine abrasive cloth to polish to avoid quartz sand particles from remaining between the contacts, and can not insist on a good touch; If the burn is severe and the touch surface is lost, the contact must be replaced.

(3) The moving part is jammed and can be disassembled for maintenance.
