7. The relationship between the model code parameters and the servo motor

The motor model in the model code parameter of the EDB series servo motor should be the motor model currently controlled, otherwise the operation effect of the motor will be poor. The motor model selection parameter is PN218, and the drive model parameter selection is PN223.

8. How many ways does the driver control the motor?

EDB series servo drive has three main control modes for servo motors: position control, speed control and torque control.

The characteristics of the position control mode are that the speed, angle and torque of the motor are controlled by the driver, the host computer controls the speed and angle of the driver to send a pulse train, the input pulse frequency controls the speed of the motor, and the input number of pulses controls the angle of motor rotation. The characteristics of the speed control mode are that the driver only controls the speed and torque of the motor, the angle of the motor is controlled by the A, B, C encoder signal fed back by the host computer, and the host computer sends an analog (voltage) signal to the driver, the range is +10V——-10V, the positive voltage controls the positive rotation of the motor, the negative voltage controls the motor to reverse, and the size of the voltage value determines the number of revolutions of the motor.

The characteristics of the torque control mode are that the driver only controls the torque of the motor, the torque output of the motor does not change with the load, and only obeys the input torque command, the host computer sends an analog (voltage) signal to the driver, the range is +10V——-10V, the positive voltage controls the positive rotation of the motor, and the negative voltage controls the reverse rotation of the motor, and the size of the voltage value determines the torque output of the motor. The speed and angle of the motor are controlled by the host computer.

9. What is the electronic gear ratio?

Pulse equivalent: The length or angle set by the mechanical device corresponding to the smallest numerical unit of the numerical control device, that is, what is the length and angle corresponding to a pulse, which is called the pulse equivalent.

When the transmission ratio of the mechanical device can not meet the requirements of the pulse equivalent of the numerical control device, the EDB series servo drive can provide an electronic gear ratio to match the relationship between the numerical control device and the mechanical transmission ratio to meet the pulse equivalent required by the numerical control device. It acts as an input-to-output ratio. Electronic gear ratios only work in position control.

10. Is the working voltage of the driver input with three-phase AC220V or single-phase AC220V?

The working voltage of the EDB servo drive is AC200V. When the driver is equipped with a servo motor with small torque (below 5Nm or below 1KW in the power section), a single-phase AC220V power supply can be used to supply power to the driver, but when the driver drives a servo motor with high torque, a three-phase AC200V-230V power supply must be used to supply power to the driver.

In order to improve the reliability of the driver and prevent the driver from interfering with the numerical control device, the customer is requested to use a transformer to provide three-phase AC200V power supply to the driver.
