1. Features of spot welding robots:
Because the spot welding robot is the contact between the point and the workpiece when working, the precise positioning of the point and the workpiece is very important. There are no strict regulations on the moving track of the electric welding robot, the spot welding robot not only has a strong bearing capacity, but also has a convenient speed, a stable action, and an accurate positioning when shifting between points, so as to reduce the moment of displacement and improve work efficiency.
The amount of load required for a spot welding robot depends on the type of welding tong used. For welding tongs separated from the transformer, a robot with a load of 30-45 kg is sufficient. However, on the one hand, this kind of welding tong is not conducive to the robot to extend the welding tong into the workpiece for welding because of the long secondary cable and large power loss.
On the other hand, the cable is constantly swaying with the movement of the robot, and the damage of the cable is relatively fast. Therefore, at present, the selection of integrated welding tongs is gradually increasing. The mass of this welding tong together with the transformer is about 70kg. Considering that the robot must have enough load to be able to send the welding tongs to the spatial orientation for welding with a large acceleration, a heavy-duty robot with a load of 100-150kg is generally selected. In order to get used to the requirements of rapid displacement of welding tongs at short distances during continuous spot welding, the new heavy-duty robot has added the function of completing 50mm displacement within 0.3s, which puts forward higher requirements for the performance of the motor, the calculation speed and algorithm of the microcomputer.
2. Characteristics of arc welding robot:
The process of arc welding robot is much more messy than that of spot welding robot, and precise control is required from the east-west center point (TCP), that is, the motion track of the end of the welding wire, the attitude of the welding gun, and the welding parameters. Therefore, in addition to the general functions mentioned above, the arc welding robot must also have some functions suitable for arc welding requirements.
Although it is theoretically possible to use a robot with 5 axes for arc welding, it is difficult to use a robot with 5 axes for welds with messy shapes. Therefore, unless the weld is relatively simple, a 6-axis robot should be used as much as possible.
In addition to the above-mentioned "zigzag" corner welding or small-diameter circular weld welding, the track of the arc welding robot should be close to the teaching track, and it should also have the software function of different swing styles for programming to be selected, so as to do swing welding, and swing at the stopping point in each cycle, the robot should also actively stop moving forward to meet the process requirements. In addition, there should also be touch finding, active search for the starting point of the weld, arc tracking and active re-arc function.
