KR CYBERTECH IS THE WORLD'S FIRST ROBOT BAR
BAIER Engineering GmbH has developed the world's first fully automated bar with the help of a bar robot, developed in collaboration with the University of Aalen (Hochschule Aalen) and experts from the beverage industry. KUKA'S KR CYBERTECH BOT ACTS AS A BARTENDER: THE BAR BOT MAKES COCKTAILS, FILLS THEM, DELIVERS DRINKS, AND CHECKS OUT. "Bar robots are proven service specialists," says Thomas Baier, founder and managing director of BAIER Engineering, describing the robot's special skills.
KUKA robots make cocktails as bartenders
THE SOFTWARE AND KNOW-HOW FOR THE BAR EQUIPMENT CAME FROM BAIER ENGINEERING, AND THE ROBOTIC ARM CAME FROM KUKA: BEHIND THE BAR STOOD A ROBOT FROM THE KR CYBERTECH SERIES. Once a customer places an order through the touchscreen, the robotic arm grabs the corresponding cup, extends the cup to the dispenser, and delivers it to the bar. Whether it's a cocktail, a draught beer or a non-alcoholic soft drink, you can program the settings according to the requirements of the event and tailor the drink to your needs. After a special smart card payment, the bar robot can use the smart card to check whether the customer meets the minimum age for the selected drink.
The robot bar is ready to use
The advantages of the bar equipment are outstanding. Whether it's a three-day fair or a company event that calls for night shifts, the KUKA robot acts as a bartender 24 hours a day. It is tireless and efficient. "Our bar robots are capable of mixing cocktails or filling beer with consistent quality. It works cleanly, reliably and efficiently", appreciates Mr. Baier. Since the bar equipment is housed on a single-axle trailer, it is flexible and manoeuvrable. The refrigerator is integrated and only needs to be plugged in. Together, the trailer structure also ensures the safety of the operation. Robot bars can be used for many events, from dining and special birthday parties to folk festivals.

What is the reason behind Germany's Kuka robot willing to be acquired by Midea?
1. When Midea proposed to Kuka to buy the offer, it was indeed blocked by many people. There are opposing voices from Germany's business and political circles, and these people are worried that KUKA's central technology will be grasped by China's manufacturers, which will have a great impact on high-end players in related fields in China and even in the world.
