Recently, Hollysys successfully signed a contract with Luxi Chemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Luxi Chemical) for a 1.2 million tons/year bisphenol A equipment project. This project is a key project in Shandong Province in 2021, which will not only greatly improve the competitiveness of Luxi Chemical polycarbonate in the industry, but also be of great significance to the development of phenol downstream products in China.
Bisphenol A, also known as diphenol propane, is an important organic chemical material, mainly used in the production of polycarbonate and epoxy resin chemical products, with the rapid growth of China's polycarbonate and epoxy resin in electronics, building materials, automobile industry, communications and computer and other fields, bisphenol A has become one of the key types of phenol downstream products in China, and its production site has extremely high requirements for the safety and stability of the control system.
Luxi Chemical, the owner of the project, is a large-scale state-owned enterprise controlled by Sinochem Group Co., Ltd., and has been recognized as "China's Chemical New Materials (Liaocheng) Industrial Park" and "China's Smart Chemical Park Pilot Demonstration Unit" by the National Petrochemical Federation, and is one of the "Top 30 Chemical Parks in China" and one of the skill innovation demonstration enterprises in China's chemical industry, and the first batch of chemical parks in Shandong Province.
As the first batch of preferred projects in the major project library of new and old kinetic energy conversion in Shandong Province, after the completion and operation of the 1.2 million tons/year bisphenol A equipment project of Luxi Chemical, it can provide stable materials for the existing polycarbonate equipment of Luxi Chemical, reduce the amount of purchases, reduce the transportation cost and safety hazards of material procurement, and improve the surplus ability. During the same period, a 600,000 tons/year caprolactam • nylon 6 project and a 240,000 tons/year ethylene downstream integration project will be built to further extend, supplement and strengthen the chain, expand the planning of advantageous products, and improve the competitiveness and inductive strength of Luxi Chemical.
Luxi Chemical's 1.2 million tons/year bisphenol A equipment project has many equipment, large planning, advanced technology and complex logic, with nearly 30,000 IO points and more than 1,000 SIS points in the DCS system alone, which has strict requirements for the safety, stability and reliability of DCS and SIS control systems.
