The operating principle of the electrical valve positioner:

In order to open the valve to increase the current signal, the torque motor generates an electromagnetic field, and the baffle is driven away from the nozzle by the electromagnetic field. The distance between the nozzle and the baffle is increased, and the air pressure above the spool inside the pilot valve is discharged. Affected by this, the spool moves to the right, pushing the spool that blocks the base, and the air pressure is input to the actuator through the base.

As the internal pressure of the actuator air chamber increases, the actuator push rod descends, and the displacement change of the actuator push rod is transmitted to the slide plate through the feedback rod. This displacement change is transmitted to the range feedback lever, which pulls the range spring.

When the force of the span spring and the torque motor is balanced, the baffle returns to its original position, reducing the distance from the nozzle, and as the amount of air discharged through the nozzle decreases, the air pressure above the bobbin increases, the bobbin returns to its original position, and the valve core re-blocks the base, stopping the air pressure input to the actuator. When the movement of the actuator stops, the positioner remains steady.

When installing the electrical valve positioner, please observe the following precautions: in order to prevent the system from shutting down, the control valve should be isolated from the system through a bypass valve-like device; There can be no air pressure inside the actuator; All air and input signals from the valve actuator and other peripheral accessories must be completely cut off prior to installation.
