Fisher Fisher Valve Positioner Type, according to the structure is divided into Fisher 3660/3661/3710/Pneumatic Valve Positioner, FISHER3528I Electric-Pneumatic Valve Positioner and Fisher DVC6200/DVC2000 Digital Intelligent Valve Positioner, with single acting and double acting, is the main accessory of the control valve, usually used with the control valve, it accepts the output signal of the regulator, and then uses its output signal to control the control valve

What should I pay attention to when using the Fisher Hill Valve Positioner:

1. Safety points

No one other than a person who is well trained in the installation, operation, and maintenance of valves, actuators, and accessories and who has carefully read and understood the contents of this manual is not allowed to install, operate, or maintain the DVC2000 Series Digital Valve Controller. When flammable or hazardous gases are present, the resulting electrostatic discharge may cause injury to personnel and equipment, and a 14AWG (2.08mm2) grounding wire should be connected between the digital valve controller and ground. If the air supply is not supplied with clean, dry and oil-free gas, it may cause serious injury or damage to equipment. For most applications, a filter capable of filtering out particles larger than 40 microns in diameter is sufficient.

2. Installation

Protective gloves, clothing and glasses must be worn in case of injury; Confirm that the actuator does not suddenly open or close the valve; Cut off all gas circuits, circuits and control signals connected to the actuator; The valve is isolated from the process by bypass valve or complete shut-off process, the pressure on both sides of the Fisher valve positioner is emptied, and the medium is discharged from both sides of the valve; In an application where intrinsically safe installation and optional circuitry are required, each pair of wires must be shielded, and to prevent crosswiring, the individual conductors should not be exposed to the outside of the terminal barrier wall.

3. Maintenance

Communicate with a process or safety engineer to facilitate additional measures. Release the load pressure of the pneumatic actuator and release all preload springs of the actuator. Locking procedures are used for repairs to ensure that the measures remain effective when working on the Fisher valve positioner.

Fourth, enable the switch to off mode

When the GX actuator switches between fault opening and fault shutdown modes in the field, it is necessary to change the pipe plug on the gas connection in the DVC2000 housing. To switch to fail-off mode, remove the R1/8 orifice plug on the back of the DVC2000 housing, attach an O-ring, and plug the external air path outlet with a 1/4NPT or G1/4 pipe plug. To switch to fail-on mode, remove the tube plug on the outlet of the external air path. Attach an R1/8 tube plug to the port on the back of the DVC2000 and connect the outlet of the DVC2000 air path with the port at the top of the actuator cavity with the air tube.

5. Measurement

As a general rule, do not use less than 50% of the magnet assembly for full-stroke measurements. As the magnet assembly moves away from the measurement range, its performance gradually decreases. Linear magnets have an effective travel range, which is indicated by an arrow die-cast on top of the magnet bar, which means that the Hall-effect transistor (on the back of the DVC2000's housing) must always remain within this effective travel range when the Fisher valve positioner is operating in the full stroke range.

The valve positioner can increase the output power of the control valve, reduce the transmission lag of the adjustment signal, speed up the movement of the valve stem, improve the linearity of the valve, overcome the friction of the valve stem and eliminate the influence of unbalanced force, so as to ensure the correct positioning of the control valve.
