The filter, pressure reducing valve and lubricator together form a pneumatic triplet. The filter is mainly responsible for filtering liquid water, oil and impurities in the compressed air, the pressure reducing valve is mainly responsible for controlling the system pressure, and the lubricator is responsible for the oil lubrication of the back-end components. In general, lubricators are not used much, because there are many products that can be lubricated without oil, so there is no need for oilers. The function of the compressed air filter: to remove solid impurities, water droplets and dirty oil droplets in the compressed air, etc., but not to remove gaseous oil and water. According to the drainage method of the filter, there is a manual drainage type. The automatic drainage type is divided into normally open type and normally closed type according to the drainage state when there is no air pressure. The function of the pressure reducing valve: the pressure reducing valve is an intelligent valve that uses the energy of the medium itself to adjust and control the pressure of the pipeline, and the outlet pressure of the main valve can be adjusted through the pressure reducing pilot valve of the regulating valve. The outlet pressure does not change due to the change of inlet pressure and inlet flow, and the outlet pressure is safely and reliably maintained on the set plant, and the set value can be adjusted according to the need to achieve the purpose of decompression.

Basic performance of pressure reducing valves:

(1) Pressure regulation range: It refers to the adjustable range of the output pressure P2 of the pressure reducing valve, and the specified accuracy is required within this range. The pressure regulation range is mainly related to the stiffness of the pressure regulating spring.

(2) Pressure characteristics: It refers to the characteristics of output pressure fluctuations caused by input pressure fluctuations when the flow rate g is a fixed value. The smaller the output pressure fluctuation, the better the characteristics of the pressure reducing valve. The output pressure must be lower than the input pressure—the fixed value is essentially unchanged from the input pressure.

(3) Flow characteristics: It refers to the consistency of the input pressure - timing, and the output pressure changes with the change of the output flow g. When the flow rate g changes, the smaller the change in output pressure, the better. Generally, the lower the output pressure, the less it fluctuates with the change in output flow.
