First, press the [Acknowledge] button to enter the first-level menu, press the [Up] or [Down] button to find the menu you want to set, and press the [Acknowledge] button to enter the set value, and the current set value will be displayed at this moment. Press and hold the [Up] or [Down] button, and when the value starts to flash, keep pressing to adjust the value. Press the [Up] value to increase, and press the [Down] value to decrease; When the value to be set is reached, press the admit button to complete the parameter setting;
In general, the first parameter to be set is the setpoint value, which is SP1 (setp point 1) and SP2 (channel 2).
Output channels 1 and 2 are normally open contacts by default and can be set to normally closed or perhaps closed (OFF) as required.
Taking output channel 1 as an example, under the normally open output, if the measurement value of the sensor is less than the set value SP1, the output channel 1 is activated, pin 4 will have a 24V voltage output, and the LED exhibition of No. 3 will be lit together;
If the measurement value of the sensor is greater than the set value SP1, the output channel 1 is closed, the No. 4 pin does not output voltage, and the No. 3 LED is off.
For example, if a moving object is spaced 80 cm from the sensor, the sensor laser will be emitted to the opposite side at a distance of 2.5 m when it is detached. At this moment, if the value of SP1 can be set to 90cm, then the signal output of channel 1 will be in place after the object is in place, and the signal of channel 1 will be closed after it is detached. In this way, the output of channel 1 can be processed by connecting the output of channel 1 to the digital input of the PLC.

ifm takes you through level sensors
How it works
Static pressure measurement principle: when the liquid level sensor is put into a certain depth in the liquid to be measured, the pressure on the liquid surface of the sensor is formulated as: Ρ = ρ .g.H + Po formula: P: The pressure on the liquid surface of the transmitter ...

Introduction to sensor design tips – ifm
1. Start with the bus east and west
As a first step, the engineer should take the approach of first interfacing the sensor, which is through a bus stuff to constrain the ignorance. A bus thing connects to a personal computer (PC) and then to the sensor for I2C, SPI or other ...

Precautions when switching the ifm on or off the power supply
The output status of the sensor when the power is turned on or off, whether it is detected or not, is OFF. In particular, when the power supply is turned on, the output condition is OFF for a certain period of time is called the initial reset. But in the following cases, the output will be momentarily ON(OFF) ...

Ultrasonic sensor ranging principle
Ultrasonic sensors are sensors that convert ultrasonic signals into other energy signals, usually electrical signals. Ultrasonic waves are mechanical waves that oscillate at frequencies higher than 20KHz. It has high frequency, short wavelength, small diffraction phenomenon, especially good directionality, can become a ray and directional propagation, etc.

An introduction to the work of ifm controllers
Programmable ifm controllers operate using a "sequential scan, continuous loop" approach.
1. Output rewriting stage: When the instruction is fulfilled, the on-off status of the output status register is sent to the input in the output rewriting stage.

Common models of IFM temperature sensors
IFM sensor is a sensor with optoelectronic devices as the conversion element, which can be used to detect non-electric amounts that directly cause changes in light quantity, such as light intensity, illuminance, radiation temperature measurement, gas composition analysis, etc.; It can also be used to detect other non-electric charges that can be converted into changes in the amount of light, such as part diameter, surface ...

Fiber optic sensor selection points – ifm
1. Determine the type according to the measurement object and environment
It is necessary to carefully analyze the measurement operation and consider which principle of sensor to use for measurement, because even if the same physical quantity is measured, it can be achieved by different principles. Secondly, we have to consider the range, volume (whether the space is satisfied), amperemia ...

How sensor detection avoids interference – ifm
Sensor detection is known to prevent disturbances. Once disturbed, the sensor may be damaged, the measurement system will be affected, the inaccurate data will affect the future use, the judgment will be biased, and the impact can be large or small, so anti-interference is very important. Today we're going to comment ...

Failure analysis of ifm gas sensors
1. How long does it take for the gas sensor to be recalibrated after use: The length of the time distance between the initial calibration and recalibration depends on many factors, generally including the operating temperature, humidity, pressure, what kind of gas the sensor is exposed to, and the length of time it is exposed to the gas.
But most of the ...

Correct use of the high-temperature pressure sensor method – ifm
1. It is necessary for the sensor to be properly installed
Damage to high-temperature pressure sensors is usually caused by their installation in improperly machined holes. When the sensor is loaded into a hole that is too small or eccentric, the sensor diaphragm may be damaged, which can then cause the instrument to not function properly.
Can...

Precautions for accelerometer installation
Pick the right adhesive! We need to know the importance of adhesives, many people do not pay attention to the selection of adhesives, the natural frequency of the accelerometer is determined by the degree of coupling of the bond, so it is important to choose the right adhesive. The weight of the accelerometer is also what we have to test.
