Mosa joins the OpenChain project to drive open source compliance

The OpenChain project aims to build trust in open source throughout the supply chain by making it easier to work together to comply with open source promises. OpenChain specifications clarify the requirements in the business process, formulate compliance processes, policies, or conduct important parts of training, and then minimize the probability of mistakes and bring the solution to market at a higher power. The specification is in the process of being submitted to the World Normalization Arrangement (ISO) and will soon be developed from a de facto specification to a formal specification.

Andy Cheng, President of Moxa's Strategic Business Unit, noted, "Moxa is very pleased to participate in the OpenChain project, which is a testament to our commitment to open source compliance. Moxa has a long history of supporting the Linux Foundation's important projects, including the Civil Infrastructure Platform (CIP) project, which has long supported Linux distribution. We look forward to working closely with the OpenChain community to promote the Open Source Compliance Professional Code. ”

As a platinum member, Moxa will be the first Taiwan company to participate in OpenChain's board of directors; As a result, the project has covered up more occupations and expanded its reach. Many other career leaders have also become platinum members, including: ARM Holdings, Bosch, Cisco, Comcast, Facebook, Fujitsu, Google, Hitachi, Microsoft, Panasonic, Qualcomm, Siemens, Sony, Toshiba, Toyota, Uber and Western Digital.

Shane Coughlan, General Manager of OpenChain, noted, "We've been working with Moxa for quite some time. Over the past two years, Moxa has been actively involved in the development phase of the OpenChain community. Today's announcement is ample and a sign that we are ready to further deepen our collaboration and understanding. In 2020, we look forward to seizing the opportunity to build an important bridge with the Chinese-speaking world and promote open source compliance. I thought it was important to have a collaboration with Moxa at the right time to help us achieve our goals. ”
