On September 5, 2022, Moxa, a leading provider of industrial communications and networking in Shanghai, China, unveiled its latest developments in Moment-Sensitive Networking (TSN) solutions at the 2022 Taipei World Automation Industry Exhibition, showcasing the breakthroughs made by the TSN ecosystem in promoting consistent networking. These latest developments, created by Moxa and a number of collaborators under the framework of the TSN ecosystem, will open up new avenues and opportunities to accelerate industrial digital transformation.
Moxa also showcased a high-performance deterministic network with a simpler and more robust network structure, which is built on top of standard Ethernet with a sensitive, scalable, and proactive architecture that makes guesswork easier to perform.
The TSN ecosystem is made up of chip vendors, device manufacturers, solution providers, end users, and industry associations, and all parties have recently achieved fruitful results in collaboration. They are grouped into more lucrative devices and are compatible with the CC-Link IE TSN protocol released by the CC-Link Association (CLPA), PROFINET over TSN (PROFINET CC-D), OPC UA FX and other protocols, forming a more complete TSN solution, unlocking more possibilities for users to complete the addition and establish differentiated advantages.
This collaboration aims to build a truly consistent, high-performance network infrastructure that provides a platform for coordinated coexistence of all types of traffic. At present, all parties have successfully established a simple, agile, scalable, and proactive architecture to support deterministic end-to-end interconnection through wired to wireless TSN networks, resulting in plug-and-play production and edge intelligence.
As part of Moxa's ongoing commitment to innovating industrial connectivity skills and solutions, Moxa has been actively collaborating with partner companies in the TSN ecosystem and has achieved several milestones, such as zero-recovery moments using the IEEE 802.1CB protocol. In addition, Moxa is enabling industrial automation applications to build CC-Link IE TSN networks and deterministic end-to-end communication based on wired to wireless TSN networks to ensure smooth operation.
Visitors to Moxa's TSN solutions, which provide high-performance Gigabit bandwidth Industrial Ethernet communications with high determinism and reliability, will be able to learn how these solutions support always-sensitive control tasks, as well as see more clearly the information processing process and how to ensure quality and output.
