Fisher's broad range of sensing technology products provide customers with cost-effective process monitoring and inspection as well as process optimization
Pervasive Sensing technology helps improve operational visibility to address safety, reliability, production, energy management, and environmental compliance.
Fisher expands its portfolio of ubiquitous measurement sensing technologies to help manufacturers unlock the potential of the Industrial Internet of Things to improve factory performance. With the increasing demand for asset health and performance analytics software, smart sensors can provide data experts with the data they need to make better decisions.
The ubiquitous measurement product line has evolved to become a new generation of low-cost sensors that are easy to install and maintain, leveraging wireless communications as part of a secure, integrated industrial network and using new analytics algorithms to gain insight into the performance of plant assets.
By improving and increasing the number of sensor detection points in the plant architecture, customers can collect critical information about assets and processes in real time and analyze this information with built-in powerful analytics software, turning it into a wealth of actionable information. Having the right information to the right people at the right time can turn a plant's reactive operations into proactive ones, reducing risk and increasing profitability.
Fisher's pervasive measurement technology is part of the Plantweb digital ecosystem, a next-generation IIoT architecture. The Plantweb digital ecosystem enables strategic information gathering and analysis through innovative sensing technologies.
Fisher's expanded portfolio of ubiquitous measurement technologies includes hazardous gas sensing and liquid level sensing, as well as THUM explosion-proof adapters that extend wired data to wireless network capabilities.
Wireless toxic gas monitor
The Emerson Rosemount 928 Wireless Toxic Gas Monitor is the world's first integrated WirelessHART toxic gas detection solution. Performing maintenance at remote locations such as wellheads or natural gas metering stations can often be challenging and dangerous because workers may need to be in the presence of accidental toxic gas leaks. Because the cost of installing and operating a traditional gas detection system at these sites is often daunting, operators have to rely on portable gas detection equipment or, worse, not at all. In these cases, workers are at risk of putting themselves at risk when performing maintenance on these remote sites.
Gas monitors can help operators remotely understand changing site location conditions – reducing the need for manual inspections and improving personnel safety by keeping operators away from these hazardous areas and catastrophic incidents.
With wireless toxic gas monitors, operators can now continuously monitor toxic hydrogen sulfide gas in remote locations and previously unmonitored locations in existing facilities to ensure facility and personnel safety.
Wireless guided wave radar
The Rosemount 3308 Wireless Guided Wave Radar (GWR) transmitter for continuous level and interface monitoring is now available with an improved measurement accuracy of +/- 3mm to better meet the needs of remote or hard-to-reach liquid level monitoring and can be used to replace unreliable or manual measurement techniques to improve personnel safety by keeping operators away from the tank.
Guided wave radar transmitters can be used in a wide range of measurement and control applications, including level measurement of vessels and storage tanks in refineries, oil fields, offshore platforms, chemical plants, and industrial plants. For example, in well production applications, guided wave radar transmitters can be used to measure tank levels for production storage, water transfer, and chemical injection. Accurate, reliable level gauges can help customers avoid the risk of oil spills, which can have an impact on the environment and require costly cleaning with labor and equipment.
Wireless THUM explosion-proof adapter
The wireless THUM adapter is now certified for explosion protection in the United States and Canada for use in hazardous areas. This certification is specifically designed for hazardous area use in refineries, chemical plants and other heavy industrial facilities, as well as in SIS applications where THUM adapters can be used to obtain hold-up variables and diagnostic information in safety systems.
The THUM adapter can be installed on existing two-, three- or four-wire HART meters located in almost any area (intrinsically safe to explosion-proof applications). The THUM adapter wirelessly transmits HART measurement data and diagnostic information for new or previously unavailable measuring points. With a self-organizing WirelessHART network, operators can remotely manage equipment and remotely monitor equipment health data.

Fisher Fisher - Why do control valves vibrate? Cause analysis
The vibration of the control valve is generally divided into two states, one is the overall vibration of the control valve, that is, the entire control valve frequently vibrates on the pipeline or base. The other is the vibration of the spool of the regulating valve, which can be seen from the frequent movement of the valve stem up and down, and the following are the causes of these two vibrations and their treatment

Fisher Fisher - What are the general occasions for which ball valves are used?
Ball valves are generally limited by sealing materials, because ball valves are usually formed by some plastic materials, the main principle of ball valves is to rely on metal balls to adjust the gas and liquid under the action of the medium, mainly the extrusion between the metal ball and the plastic valve seat to achieve the effect of adjustment.
Between the seats ...
