(1) The commonly used rust removal methods are divided into the following five points

1. Use grinding wheels, wire brushes, scrapers, and gauze to pickle and remove rust

21-4 Wipe with a non-metallic scraper, oil stone or gauze with particle size 150 dipped in mechanical oil or pickle to remove rust

35-6 wipe with fine oil stone or gauze with particle size 150-180 dipped in mechanical oil or pickling to remove rust

47-9 first wipe with gauze with particle size 180 or 240 dipped in mechanical oil, and then use a clean flannel cloth dipped in mechanical oil or a mixture of fine abrasive paste for polishing

Note: 1. If the non-ferrous metal processing surface is corroded, gauze with a particle size of not less than 150 should be dipped in mechanical oil to wipe it, and the alloy surface of the sliding bearing should not be wiped with gauze;

2. The smooth finish is not less than 3 and the shape is simple (no holes, slots, joints, etc.) can be pickled with 6% sulfuric acid or 10% hydrochloric acid:

3. The parts with a finish of 4-6 should be pickled with anhydride-phosphoric acid aqueous solution or wiped with cotton cloth dipped in industrial acetic acid;

Ratio of aqueous solution of conoic anhydride-phosphoric acid and use method:

Hydroic anhydride 150 g/l

Phosphoric acid 30 g/L

Pickling moderate: 35-95°C

Pickling time: 30-60 minutes

4. After pickling, it must be rinsed with water immediately, and then neutralized with an aqueous solution containing caustic sodium 4 g/L and industrial sodium nitrate 2 g/L;

5. Pickling and rust removal, rinsing, neutralizing, re-rinsing, drying and oiling operations should be carried out continuously.

(2) Five requirements for the quality of rust removal

1. Slight rust removal should be completely removed, and the disease will show metallic luster;

2. Medium rust removal should be removed until the surface is smooth, and speckled and cloudy rust is allowed;

3. Heavy rust should be removed, but black spots in the pit are allowed and recorded;

4. The surface finish and fitting accuracy of the joint surface and the sliding surface should be maintained by weight, otherwise proper treatment measures should be taken;

5. After rust removal, it should be cleaned with kerosene or gasoline, let it dry, and soil appropriate lubricating oil (grease) or anti-rust oil (grease).
