1. Compressed filler
(1) Plant fiber filler
Made of hemp or cotton impregnated with oil, wax or other impermeable materials for use on low-pressure valves below 100°C. It is suitable for water, ammonia and other media.
(2) Asbestos fiber filler
Asbestos fiber has the advantages of good heat resistance, weak acid resistance, strong alkali, high strength, and good adsorption performance.
(3) Rubber filler
There are rubber cloths, rubber rods, and annular rubber fillers, which are used in ammonia, concentrated sulfuric acid and other media at a temperature of ≤ 140 °C.
(4) Carbon fiber filler
The carbon fiber filler is made by impregnating a carbon fiber braided rope with a PTFE emulsion. Carbon fiber filler has excellent elasticity; It has excellent self-lubricating and high temperature resistance, and can work stably in the temperature range of -120-350 °C in the air, with a pressure resistance of ≤ 35MPa.
(5) Flexible graphite filler
Flexible graphite packing is widely used in valves, and has the following excellent properties:
(1) Unique flexibility and resilience, the incision packing can be freely bent along the axial direction for more than 90°, and will not leak due to temperature and pressure changes, vibration and other factors during use, so it is safe and reliable, and is an ideal sealing material.
(2) Good temperature resistance. It can be applied to -200°C at low temperature, up to 500°C in high-temperature oxidizing media, and up to 2000°C in non-oxidizing media, and can maintain excellent sealing.
(3) Strong corrosion resistance. It has good corrosion resistance to acids, alkalis, organic solvents, organic gases and vapors. No aging, no deterioration, in addition to strong oxidizing media (nitric acid), oleum acid, chromic acid, halogen, etc., can resist the corrosion of all media.
(4) Low friction coefficient and good self-lubricability.
(5) Excellent impermeability to gases and liquids.
(6) Long service life and can be used repeatedly.
Flexible graphite is widely used in petroleum, chemical, power generation, fertilizer, medicine, papermaking, machinery, metallurgy, aerospace and atomic energy industries. The applicable nominal pressure ≤ 32MPa.
(6) Metal filler
According to its structure, it can be divided into metal foil tape winding filler, metal foil kneading crepe laminating filler, metal wave filler, lead wire twisting filler and lead ring filler. The advantages of metal foil tape winding filler and metal foil kneading crepe laminated filler are high temperature resistance, erosion resistance, wear resistance, high strength and good thermal conductivity. However, the sealing performance is poor, and it requires a relatively high compression force, so it must be used in conjunction with plastic fillers. Its operating temperature, pressure, and corrosion resistance depend on the metal material.
2. V-type filler
The V-type packing is composed of upper filler, middle filler, and lower filler. The upper and middle fillers are made of PTFE or nylon, and the lower fillers are made of 1Cr13, 1Cr18Ni9, A3 steel and other materials. PTFE has a temperature resistance of 232 °C, nylon temperature resistance of 93 °C, and a general pressure resistance of 32MPa, which is often used in corrosive media.
3. O-ring packing
The profile of the O-ring is round, and its material is rubber, PTFE and metal hollow O-ring, which is not only used for static sealing, but also for dynamic sealing. Among them, rubber O-rings are widely used. O-ring*** high use pressure up to 40MPa.
