The Fluke infrared thermal imaging camera uses an infrared detector and an optical imaging objective lens to receive the infrared radiation energy distribution map of the measured target and reflect it on the photosensitive element of the infrared detector, so as to obtain an infrared thermal image, which corresponds to the thermal distribution field on the surface of the object. Adjust the focus.

Infrared images can be stored to adjust the image curve, but the focal length cannot be changed after the image is stored, and other messy heat reflections cannot be eliminated. When overheated or cold reflections from the background above or around the target affect the accuracy of the target measurement, adjust the focal length or measurement direction as much as possible to reduce or eliminate the reflection effect.

Select the correct temperature measurement range.

Do you know the temperature range of the target being measured in the field? In order to get a correct temperature reading, make sure to set the correct temperature measurement range. When observing the target, fine-tune the temperature span of the instrument to obtain the best image quality. This also affects the quality of the temperature profile and the accuracy of the temperature measurement.

Learn about the maximum measurement distance.

When measuring the target temperature, it is important to know the maximum measurement distance at which an accurate temperature reading can be obtained. For non-cooled, micro-thermal focal-plane detectors, the target image through the camera's optical system must occupy 9 pixels or more to accurately distinguish the target. If the instrument is too far away from the target, the target will be small and the temperature measurement will not accurately reflect the true temperature of the target object, because the temperature measured by the thermal imaging camera averages the temperature of the target object and the surrounding environment. For the most accurate readings, fill the field of view of the instrument as much as possible. Show enough scenes to distinguish between the targets. The distance from the target should not be less than the minimum focal length of the camera's optical system, otherwise the focus cannot be placed on a clear image.

Make sure the instrument is stable during the measurement process.

Currently, all long-wave NEC thermal imaging cameras are capable of reaching 60Hz frame rates, so when capturing images, the image may be blurry due to the movement of the instrument. For best results, the instrument should be as stable as possible when freezing and recording images. When pressing the storage button, it should be as smooth as possible. Even a slight shake of the instrument can cause the image to be unsharp. It is recommended to use a support to stabilize under the arm, or to place the instrument on the surface of the object, or to use a tripod to keep it as stable as possible.
