Fluke Corporation of United States recently released a new generation of multi-product calibrators around the world, including three models: 5560A, 5550A and 5540A. This new series not only inherits the advantages and features of the previous generation, but also makes many improvements, such as a large Chinese color touch screen, a new graphical user interface and improved terminal layout, a 30A high current output and support for 52120A transconductive current amplifiers, an oscilloscope calibration option extended to 2.1GHz, and more.
After the launch of the new 55x0A, the technical indicators have also been greatly improved compared with the previous generation of products, such as the optimal uncertainty of DC voltage can reach 7.2ppm.
To this end, we deliberately used the Fluke 8588A standard digital multimeter to do a quick test on a prototype of the 5560A high-performance multi-product calibrator, covering the five main functions of AC and DC voltage/current and resistance, including the key points of each range, and the frequency range is also from the lowest frequency to the highest frequency, which not only illustrates the maximum error allowed by the system at each test point, but also clearly sees the current actual performance, and the whole process is recorded through video. We strive to give engineers and metrology experts a fresh and realistic experience.
At the same time, the key parameter settings of each test are also explained in the test, which is convenient for everyone to refer to in the future and avoid test errors. Of course, this video is only a quick test based on the 8588A, which also includes the uncertainty of the 8588A itself, and is not measured according to the 5560A comprehensive technical indicators using a complete calibration system, so some test points do not necessarily reflect the best performance of the 5560A, but through this test video, it can be seen that the actual performance of the 5560A is much better than the nominal indicators given.

Power Quality Measurement Technology Issue 6 - The Significance of THD at 40th, 50th and 100th Harmonics?
Everyone knows that THD is Total Harmonic Distortion, which is divided into voltage THD and current THD, which indicates the severity of voltage and current waveform distortion. The larger the harmonic content of the waveform, the more serious the waveform distortion and the larger the THD value. Conversely, the lower the THD value.
