Infrared detection often requires the use of different lenses to view and analyze the temperature changes of certain extremely small or distant objects, and the lenses of the two newly released Fluke thermal imaging cameras provide a full view of these extreme targets. The 25 μm macro lens can identify ultra-micro targets, such as on printed circuit boards, even defects that are difficult to see with the naked eye. The new 4x telephoto lens allows users to see distant targets at 4x magnification, enabling easy detection of targets such as power lines or tall flare towers.
Two new lenses expand Fluke's selection of thermal imaging camera lenses for resolutions 320×240 and below. Now, the Fluke lens line includes standard, wide-angle, macro, 2x, and 4x telephoto lenses – all with precision-manufactured germanium optics. All of these lenses are interchangeable between compatible cameras, eliminating the need to send the camera back to the factory for calibration, eliminating the cost of transportation and additional calibration.
Compatible with Fluke® TiX560, TiX520, Ti400, Ti300, and Ti200 thermal imaging cameras, the 4x telephoto lens helps identify issues such as failed splicing on small to high-voltage power lines in power stations, while ensuring technicians on the ground maintain safe measurements. In the petrochemical and metallurgical industries, where conditions such as explosive gases, extreme heat or dangerous voltages are crucial, a safe distance is essential, and telephoto lenses allow details to be seen at a distance.
Compatible with the Fluke TiX560 and TiX520 thermal imaging cameras, the 25 μm macro lens allows technicians to distinguish between temperature changes in ultra-micro targets smaller than the diameter of a human hair, making it ideal for electronics/printed circuit board R&D or any application that requires near-microscope-level IR resolution. The LaserSharp® laser autofocus button is used to set the focus of the lens at the optimal distance to obtain the need for precise focusing images, thus improving inspection efficiency.

Emissivity
Emissivity refers to the ratio of the energy radiated from the surface of an object to the energy radiated by a blackbody at the same temperature. (A blackbody is an idealized radiator that radiates all of its energy and has an emissivity of 1.00 on its surface)
The emissivity of various substances is determined by the material of the object itself.
