Introduction: The Fisher/Fisher DSA steam conditioning desuperheater uses high-pressure steam to rapidly and thoroughly atomize water jets in a low-flow steam line. The desuperheater is flanged to a pipe with DN 200 (NPS 8) or larger. This desuperheater is suitable for applications that require a high turndown ratio.

In DSA desuperheaters, high-pressure steam is mixed with water to create a critical or near-critical pressure drop in the atomized steam at extremely high flow rates. The high flow rate atomizes the water jet into very fine particles for rapid refrigeration.
