The Fisher DFA (Flexible Desuperheater) includes a water control element and a stand-alone desuperheater (with adjustable nozzles and mechanical atomization) for medium to high flow variation applications. The DFA is mounted to the NPS 8 or larger pipe end via a flange connection.

Hardened stainless steel trims improve wear resistance and extend service life. When inspection or repair is required, the body can remain in the line and only the trims can be removed. Maintenance is simple and easy to perform.
Robust seat guidance and cage guidance enhance plug stability and reduce vibration and mechanical noise.
The trim is capable of full pressure drop, in most cases, for Fisher easy-e™ and HP valves, reducing the inventory cost of the trim.
