Introduction: Epson/Epson RS4SCARA robots belong to the RS series of robots, which can use unique and innovative designs while improving workspace utilization and circular throughput. The arm-like design allows the second joint to move under the first joint, so the entire workspace under the arm can be utilized. Unlike the design of other SCARA robots, there is not enough space in the central area of the workplace. No other robot supplier can offer a 550 mm arm length SCARA robot that can be combined with a 777 mm x 77 mm pallet. The size of such large pallets usually requires the SCARA arm to be approximately twice as long. The Epson RS4SCARA+ robot can handle pallet sizes up to 600x800mm.
The RS4SCARA+ gripper is available with an arm length of 550 mm and a choice of 130 mm z-axis length (100 mm, clean version). ISO3 clean/ESD configurations required in the semiconductor and medical industries are also available.
