Not long ago, it was found from the national enterprise information management system that the joint venture industrial manipulator enterprise founded by Midea and Yaskawa Electric announced the record cancellation/announcement information on April 12, and had already established a liquidation team to accept debt applications.

The joint venture is Guangdong Yaskawa Robot Beautiful Industrial Manipulator Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yaskawa Robot Beautiful), which was founded in September 2015 with a registered capital of 100 million yuan and a paid-in capital of 40 million yuan, of which Yaskawa Electric and Midea hold 51% and 49% of the shares respectively. Midea is one of the three major electrical appliance industries in China. Yaskawa Electric, a Japan company, is the world's largest manufacturer of industrial manipulators. By the end of 2018, the company's industrial manipulator sales exceeded 400,000 units.

In January 17, Midea invested 3.7 billion euros (equivalent to 29.4 billion RMB) in the project, obtained 94.55% of the equity of France robot manufacturer Kuka, and became the absolute controlling party. In March of the following year, Midea and KUKA announced a project investment of 10 billion yuan to build an intelligent robot processing plant in Shunde, Foshan. KUKA and Yaskawa Electric are both members of the first echelon of the world's industrial production robot industry, and they are called the four families of intelligent robots together with ABB and HEIDENHAIN.

At that time, some people asked about the harm to Meimei's collaboration with Yaskawa Robotics after recycling KUKA, and Meimei's level said at that time: "The joint venture with Yaskawa Robotics will be more dedicated to the intelligent robot industry, and there has been no talk of a part of the industrial manipulator from the beginning to the end."

In March 2018, Midea and KUKA announced a project investment of 10 billion yuan to build an intelligent robot processing plant in Shunde, Foshan, the city where Yaskawa Robot's beautiful head office is located. Meili and KUKA each have a 50% stake in the joint venture, and the overall production capacity of the new processing plant is planned to reach 75,000 units per year by 2024.

The more and more inseparable the relationship between Midea and KUKA indicates that the connection with Yaskawa Electric is getting farther and farther, after all, the "self-recycling enterprise" is still different from the "joint venture enterprise with people".

Yaskawa Electric's statement also mentions that after KUKA became a member of Midea, the natural environment in which Yaskawa Electric and Midea established the joint venture in the early days had changed, so they decided to close the industrial manipulator joint venture after mutual consultation.
