The Robotics Talent Innovation Competition from all over the world is about to enter the next round. The final teams will use KUKA hardware to bring their ideas to life, and they will be able to present their ideas at the world's largest industrial fair, with the winner receiving a prize of 20,000 euros. In the sixth year of the award, KUKA has raised a special topic – for the first time, it's time to break new ground.
"The KUKA Innovation Award has been a solid institution since 2014. This time we dared to try something new. said Dr. Bernd Liepert, Chief Innovation Officer of KUKA and sponsor of the competition. "Healthy Living" is this year's theme, and roboticists from around the world will submit their concepts by early July.
"We intend to raise this issue openly to cover as wide a range of issues as possible," he said. It is important to us that the application takes advantage of the sensitive and safety features of the robot, especially in the direct interaction between the human and the robot. "It ranges from medicine to rehabilitation and nursing to agriculture, food preparation and general support tasks at home or at work."
An international jury of experts selects the best concepts from all submissions. The finalists will receive a free KUKA lightweight robot and a 3D vision system from Roboception for six months, where teams can refine and test their concepts.
This year, the lightweight robot KUKA / KUKA LBR Med will make its debut in the finals. KUKA LBR Med is the first robotic component to be globally certified for integration into medical devices. Therefore, various applications in hospitals and rehabilitation centers are possible.
Springboard Innovation Award
The award provides a unique starting point for his ideas: the best teams will present their ideas at the KUKA stand at the Hannover Messe, the world's largest trade fair, at the beginning of April. There, the winner of the €20,000 prize will also be chosen. Several teams in the past have created their own companies based on their own ideas. |

Robot maintenance content - KUKA robots
The maintenance content of the robot is mainly to replace the lubricating oil of the six shaft reducers and the lubricating oil of the J4 shaft gear shaft, the replacement of wearing parts, the inspection of the operation status of each module in the control cabinet, and the inspection of the wear status of each cable in the control cabinet.
If the grease is not replaced for a long time, the six axes of the robot will be formed.
