What is a frequency converter?
Variable frequency drive (VFD) uses inverter technology and microelectronics to change the operating power frequency of the motor to control the power control unit of the communication motor.
The inverter is mainly composed of rectifier (from communication to DC), inverter, inverter (from DC to communication), braking unit, drive unit, detection unit, microprocessor unit, etc. The inverter regulates the voltage and frequency of the output power supply through the internal IGBT switch, and supplies the required power supply voltage according to the actual needs of the motor to achieve the purpose of energy saving and speed regulation. In addition, the inverter also includes a variety of protection functions such as overcurrent, overvoltage and overload protection.
What is an inverter power supply?
The inverter power supply converts the communication power of the main power supply into communication → DC → communicates to the pure sine wave output, and the output frequency and voltage can be adjusted within a certain range. It is different from the inverter controller used for motor speed regulation and general communication regulated power supply.
In China, the variable frequency power supply is generally called the AC power inverter, which is generally called AFC. With the development of electronic equipment, the entire history of inverter power supply has basically been carried out.
The difference between a frequency converter and a frequency converter power supply
Inverter power supply and inverter are two products with different uses. An inverter power supply is a power supply that can regulate voltage and frequency. The inverter is only used as a speed regulating device when the motor is running.
The power output of the inverter is a standard sine wave and is equipped with multi-function integrated equipment to supply power for a wide range of electrical and electronics, mechanical engineering and laboratory testing. The output voltage and frequency can be independently conditioned online.
The output frequency of the inverter's output voltage cannot be adjusted. If there is a circuit board or other control equipment on the back end, the load can only be a motor, and the output is a pulse square wave, which cannot be used as a power PLC. All high-precision control hardware is able to penetrate the device.
