Delta's servo motor maintenance and safety measures

Delta's servo motor system is planned for industrial use, and it is necessary to have a sufficient understanding of the motor standards and operation manuals before operating the motor. For the safety of the operator and equipment, and to ensure that the motor can be used correctly, please read this safety precaution carefully before installing the machine.

                              Delta's servo motor maintenance and safety measures

The following are the safety precautions that need to be paid special attention to:

——Unpack and view:

After receiving the communication servo motor, please check the following items immediately:

1) Please check whether there is any abnormality in the appearance of the communication servo motor.

2) Please check if there is any damage to the communication servo motor.

3) Check whether the wiring is damaged and whether it can be connected.

4) Please check whether the model of the servo motor is the same as the login data of the outer box.

If any login information does not match your order information or if there is any problem with the product, please contact the agent or distributor you contact or Delta's local affairs representative.

- Precautions for transportation, equipment and storage:

1) When taking out or placing the servo motor, do not just pull the wire and drag the motor or only grasp the rotating shaft core.

2) Do not hit the shaft directly, e.g. by tapping or hammering, as this may cause damage to the shaft and the encoder attached to the opposite side of the shaft.

3) Do not exceed the range of the standard when applying the load to the shaft core, whether axial or radial.

4) The structure of the output shaft end of the servo motor is not waterproof or oil-proof. Therefore, do not use and equipment servo motors in places with water droplets, oily liquids or excessive humidity and environments with corrosive and flammable gases.

5) Please store the servo motor in a place where there is no moisture, no dust, no harmful and corrosive gas and liquid.

6) The raw material of the servo motor shaft core does not have the ability to prevent rust, although the grease has been applied for anti-rust maintenance when leaving the factory, if the storage time is more than six months, in order to ensure that the shaft core is free from rust, please check the condition of the shaft core regularly every three months and replenish the appropriate anti-rust grease in a timely manner.

7) Do not store the servo motor in a place where the vibration exceeds the standard rule.

8) Please ensure that the storage environment of the servo motor meets the environmental standards stated in the statement.

9) Since the servo motor contains a precision encoder, please prepare the necessary measures to prevent electromagnetic noise interference, vibration and abnormal temperature changes.

- Wiring:

1) If the current flow exceeds the allowable high current indicated in the standard, which may demagnetize the magnetic components inside the motor, please contact the agent or distributor or Delta's local representative.

2) Please check that the motor wiring and brake voltage are correct, and make sure that the power and signal cables connected to the encoder are correct. Incorrect wiring may cause the motor to not work properly, or cause the motor to malfunction and be damaged.

3) It is necessary to separate the power line of the motor from the power line and signal line of the encoder to prevent voltage coupling and noise (do not connect the two in the same circuit).

4) The grounding terminal of the communication servo motor must be properly grounded.

5) Do not allow the encoder terminals to perform a withstand voltage test, as this type of test may damage the encoder.

6) When the motor or brake performs the withstand voltage test, please block the power supply of the external controller first. Do not perform this type of test unless necessary to avoid compromising the life of the product.

- Work precautions:

1) The communication servo motor works by means of a dedicated drive. Do not connect the commercial power supply (100/200V, 50/60Hz) directly to the line of the servo motor, otherwise the servo motor will not work properly and the servo motor will be permanently damaged.

2) Please use the product within the standard rules of servo motors. Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the motor temperature is within the standard rules.

3) The raw material of the shaft core of the servo motor does not have the ability to prevent rust, in order to ensure long-term use, the shaft core needs to be properly anti-rust grease during work.

4) The built-in brakes are all insisted on braking and cannot be directly used to stop the motor work. Please note: Insisting on braking is not a safe stop device, please stop the machine at the machine end device. The brake will still have a rolling backlash in the insistent state, and the angle of the large rolling backlash is 1-2 degrees. When other motor models with brakes are working, the brake liner sometimes produces a sound (rustling, clicking, etc.), which is the sound formed by the structure of the brake module, which is not a bad situation, and will not affect the function of the horse motor.

5) When detecting any abnormal odor, noise, smoke, heat or abnormal vibration, please stop the motor operation immediately and close the power supply.

- Other precautions:

1) Delta's communication servo motors do not consume parts frequently.

2) Do not disassemble the servo motor or replace the motor parts.

3) Do not disassemble the servo motor, otherwise the product warranty will be invalid.

4) Disassembling the servo motor without authorization may lead to motor problems and damage.

5) Do not allow any water droplets or oil to splash or drip onto the product.
