The elimination of a control cabinet requires up to 90 percent less wiring and a 100 percent reduction in cooling energy consumption in the control cabinet – this is what IndraDrive Mi drive technology achieves. It can be adapted to almost any situation. The basic concept is to create an integrated unit from the drive and a motor. This model without a control cabinet can also be combined with other technologies with a control cabinet.

When there is little or no space to install a control cabinet, IndraDrive Mi is the ideal solution. When it comes to intralogistics, IndraDrive Mi is particularly suitable for storage and retrieval systems or mobile transport systems that require space-saving and reduced wiring. In general, a storage and retrieval system requires 2-6 axes on a lifting block. This means that at least one cable must be laid for each motor. With IndraDrive Mi technology, only a single cable is required.

Compact drive technology is combined with compact control technology

The combination of the ultra-compact ctrlX CORE and ctrlX SAFETY, the most responsive and compact safety solution on the market, results in a unique solution. ctrlX CORE cleverly combines the OT and IT worlds by employing unique APP technology. When it comes to digitization, all the data can be taken from the ctrlX data layer and used with ease. And when it comes to automation, there are high-performance motion cores available with almost all the necessary functions. All of this can be edited graphically, making motion control programming much easier.

With the help of the Ethercat automation fieldbus, ctrlX CORE, ctrlX SAFETY and IndraDrive are combined. IndraDrive can be fully integrated into the motion control kernel. As a result, cabinetless drive technology meets the requirements of future-proof open control technology.

This practical, integrated solution is already being used by Bosch Rexroth's customers in a wide variety of different industries.
