The selection of load cells mainly includes the following four aspects, namely, the sensitivity of the sensor, the accuracy of the sensor, the stability of the sensor, and the number and range of the sensor.
1. Sensitivity
In general, within the linear range of the sensor, the higher the sensitivity, the better. Because only when the sensitivity is high, the output signal value corresponding to the measured is relatively large, which is conducive to signal processing. However, when the sensitivity is high, the external noise that is not related to the measured will also be expanded by the expansion system, which will affect the measurement accuracy. Therefore, it is required that the sensor itself should have a high signal-to-noise ratio to minimize the interference signals introduced from the outside world.
2. Accuracy
The requirements of the load cell on the accuracy are also very high, which is also a very important link in the weighing system, the higher the accuracy of the load cell, the higher the price. However, the requirements for accuracy only need to reach a slightly higher level of instrument output requirements in line with the weighing system, and do not need to be too high to prevent unnecessary costs.
3. Stability
Stability means that the sensor can continue to work normally after a long period of use, and the longer the service life of the sensor with high stability. The factors that affect the stability of the sensor, in addition to the quality of the load cell, as well as the working environment of the load cell, a good load cell environment has little impact on it.
Therefore, when purchasing a load cell, we must pay attention to the environment in which it is applicable, and know that the load cell is selected according to the detailed environment, and the correct load cell can reduce the impact of the environment on the load cell, and it is also conducive to extending the service life of the load cell. For example, in flammable and explosive environments, load cells with explosion-proof functions are required.
Fourth, the number and range of sensors
The number and range of sensors for different purposes are different, and the selection of detailed quantity and range should also be determined according to the component and type of the object to be measured. Generally, the actual weight of the weighing object should be less than 70%, and the loss of the load cell will be smaller, which is also more conducive to extending its service life.
