Turck presents the new Q130WD uprox sensor with washout resistance. Designed to meet the needs of the food and beverage industry, the rectangular proximity switch has a high degree of protection (IP68/IP69K) and can be used in many applications to monitor the production flow of beverages and food cans.

Turck presents the new Q130WD uprox sensor with washout resistance. Designed to meet the needs of the food and beverage industry, the rectangular proximity switch has a high degree of protection (IP68/IP69K) and can be used in many applications to monitor the production flow of beverages and food cans.

The Q130WD is ideally suited for the inspection of aluminium and tin cans thanks to Turck's state-of-the-art uprox technology, which has the same large switching interval for all metals. Thanks to its long travel, the sensor is also suitable for backlash-free detection of all standard beverage and food cans. The Q130WD switches at 250 Hz and can detect up to 900,000 cans per hour*.

The Q130WD housing is made of FDA-approved plastic and is highly resistant to all common acid and alkali cleaning agents. The inductive sensor also operates reliably in the ambient temperature range of -30 to 85 °C. The switching signal and operating voltage monitoring are planned as angular LEDs, so they can be viewed from any viewpoint. The Factor 1 sensor has a rectangular layout, suitable for a flush unit, and a height of 40 mm, which makes it ideal for use with typical aluminium rails.
