The robot welding uses argon-rich mixed gas maintenance welding, and the welding defects presented in the welding process generally include welding deviation, undercut, porosity, etc., the specific analysis is as follows:

(1) The welding deviation may be due to the incorrect orientation of the welding or the problem of finding the welding gun. In this case, it is necessary to consider whether the TCP (torch center point bearing) is accurate and adjust it. If this situation is frequently presented, it is necessary to check the zero position of each axis of the robot and correct it from the beginning.

(2) The undercut may be due to improper selection of welding parameters, the angle of the welding gun or the orientation of the welding gun, and the power can be appropriately adjusted to change the welding parameters, adjust the posture of the welding gun and the relative orientation of the welding gun and the workpiece.

(3) The porosity may be poor gas maintenance, the primer of the workpiece is too thick, or the maintenance gas is not boring enough, and it can be dealt with with accordingly.

(4) Too much spatter may be due to improper selection of welding parameters, gas composition or too long extension length of the welding wire, the size of the power can be appropriately adjusted to change the welding parameters, the gas ratio instrument can be adjusted to adjust the gas mixture share, and the relative orientation of the welding gun and the workpiece can be adjusted.

(5) An arc pit is formed at the end of the weld after cooling, and the function of submerged arc pit is added to the working step during programming, which can be filled.

Common problems and solutions

(1) Produce a collision gun. It may be due to an error in the assembly of the workpiece or an inaccurate TCP of the welding gun, you can check the installation status or correct the TCP of the welding gun.

(2) Arc problem is presented, and the arc cannot be triggered. It may be because the wire is not in contact with the workpiece or the process parameters are too small, the wire can be fed manually, the spacing between the welding torch and the weld can be adjusted, and the process parameters may be adjusted appropriately.

(3) Maintenance gas monitoring alarm. If there is a problem with the cooling water or maintenance gas supply, check the cooling water or maintenance air line.
